Abhijeet Rane.
In this event more than 1000 students, youths and common citizen taken part from different states of India, this event is supported by various national and international record agencies, leading media house and also by NGO's. This year 33 participants were selected through PAWS-Mumbai selection process. This year Juries were Shri. Rajendra Aklekar : Senior Assistant Editor of Mumbai Mirror as and Shri. Chhatra Singh : Professional Photographer based in New Delhi.
This year PAWS-Mumbai initiated a special award titled HELPING HAND AWARD which is been given to Journalists & Media House in recognition for creating awareness on sparrow conservation through their reporting and this year 12 awards are been given.
PAWS-MUMBAI / SPARROW FRIENDS / HELPING HAND AWARD is been powered by Apeejay Karmayuga - The Right every Wrong Generation - a campaign instituted by iCONGO to democratize heroism and Karmaveer Chakra- a medallion for voluntary action instituted in 2009 by iCONGO, in association with the UN.
